I am currently in Belo Horizonte, Brazil – my new home. I officially moved here at the start of the year to start a new job as a coffee roaster with OOP Café. I spent a month doing a kind of internship with OOP before going to Colombia to ride motorcycles and meet with coffee farmers, and now I am back to stay! ?
I’m super excited to start this new phase of my life in my favorite country! ?? The return to a Portuguese-speaking place is very welcome. The people I work with are extremely entrepreneurial with a focus on designing beautiful experiences around incredible coffees, something I can definitely get behind. Stoked!
I’m in the process of finding an apartment, which means I will soon be growing my possessions from just two backpacks’ worth of stuff to a little more… with furniture and plates and other things people usually get when you move into an empty space. The plan is to continue keeping it minimalist. ?
That being said, I’m looking forward to lots of vegan cooking/baking, brewing kickass kombucha, and having plants (and hopefully a tiny garden)!
Oh, and I am working to launch my own brand of roasted coffee. Only the most flavorful and aromatic (organic) coffee that I can find!
That’s it for now.
